“The Thrifty Shopper Tour” Browse our county thrift and antique shops for that special bargain starting with Antiques by Walker House Erie’s largest antique mall with over 5,000 square feet of consigned items for purchase; then a stop at The Sassy Peacock consignment shop offering upscale ladies clothing and accessories with a bit of household treasures as well; close by is the Angel Bay Thrift Shop and Boutique a combination of high end offerings and the less expensive inventory found at most thrift shops; keeping with the “antique/thrift” theme lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries and ice cream will be served at Sally’s Diner a 1950’s diner located on beautiful Presque Isle, and in the afternoon time will be spent at the Millcreek Mall where the Antique Gallery offers fine estate jewelry and an assortment of beautiful antique pieces from all over the area. While at the mall there will be time to browse the shops for even more bargains. (Available March through October.) Price per person: $33.00

"Poker Run Bus Tour" At each destination each person will choose a playing card and at the end of the tour the best poker hand will receive the grand prize. The tour starts at the Baldwin Reynolds House an antebellum home built in 1843 for supreme Court Justice Henry Baldwin and has been one of the most popular destinations in Meadville for many years; enjoy mouth watering chocolates at Finney’s Chocolate Shop where you’ll find all of the most decadent confections and watch them being made; just down the road is another Finney shop The Bulk Food and Bakery Shop where there is a variety of candies, spices, and homemade baked goods; lunch will be served at the area’s premier destination The Riverside Inn, a turn of the century Victorian hostelry built during the “mineral water boom” to accommodate the rich and famous; a short walk from the Inn is Karen’s Angels a unique gift shop that specializes in not only angels but specialty coffees and other inspirational gift items; The Trading Post is the last stop on the tour and will offer a variety of pottery, statuaries, planters and home interior gift items. “The Old South and Old Glory Tour” This tour salutes not only old southern hospitality but it salutes Old Glory, our national symbol of freedom. To salute old southern hospitality and themed after “Gone With the Wind”, luncheon will be served at Tara, A Country Inn’s Old South Armory Restaurant by costumed serve staff. A tour of this wonderfully appointed Inn shows the care and lasting impression the owners, Mr. & Mrs. J. Winner, want each and every guest to experience. One of the most impressive stops will be to visit the Avenue of Flags representing the 444 days our Americans were held hostage in Iran and the newest glass memorial dedicated to all Americans killed by terrorists here and overseas. It is the largest display of our flag in the country. Shopping in Sharon, PA offers the world’s largest off-priced ladies fashion store The Winner. (There is a very nice lounge at the store for the gentlemen offering drinks, snacks and a TV while waiting for the ladies to shop.) Reyers, the world’s largest shoe store, is just across the street and before leaving the area we’ll stop at the world’s largest candy store, Daffin’s Chocolates . Price per person: $34.00

“A Snooze in Casey’s Caboose” Spend the night in a converted caboose/train car at The Caboose Motel with all the amenities of a hotel including brass beds, full baths, TV’s, outside decks and AC/heat ; ride the rails on the O.C. & T. Railroad through “the valley that changed the world” while hearing how the oil industry began; visit Tyred Wheels an antique car museum complete with a 1912 bus; enjoy excellent food served at the Cross Creek Resort and a few new surprises along the way. (Availability will vary according to the train schedule and numbers of people are limited to no more than 42.)
“Frankly My Dear I Don’t Give a Damn Tour” Overnight luxury only Tara, A Country Inn can offer with its “Gone with the Wind” décor and old southern hospitality; spend a few hours at the Grove City Prime Outlets; see a woodcarving at The Slovak Folk Craft Shop that has 82 moving pieces powered only with 6 windshield wiper blades; travel through Amish country to a quaint village and enjoy a taste of nationally awarded wines at the Volant Winery. "The Wright Stuff Tour" This wonderful tour combines a visit to two of Frank Lloyd Wright's most popular homes, Kentuck Knob with it's sense of beauty and serenity not only in the house but in the surroundings and Fallingwater, considered Wright's greatest work integrating bedrock, stone walls and waterfalls. Next, tour and tasting at the Christian W. Klay Winery where locally grown grapes produce award winning wines. Next check into the historic Summit Inn Resort a mountaintop landmark known for its panoramic, five county view and Victorian decor. Listed on the Register of Historic Places, the Summit Inn offers such amenities as an indoor pool, billiards area, internet phone portals, cable TV, hot tub and a video game room. The second day begins a "soft float adventure" down the beautiful Youghiogheny River in the comfort of large inflatable rafts that seat 10 to 12 adults. Just sit and relax while the boatman dose all the work! There's no straddlin and no paddlin and assistance is provided into and out of the rafts. Our seniors just love this part of the tour!!! After a delicious meal at a nearby church a tour through one of the area's premier destinations, the Cochran Mansion. Built in 1913 for over two million dollars, it has 35 rooms, 27 fireplaces, 13 baths, a finished white tile basement with a game room complete with billiard tables and bowling alleys. Visit the Flight 93 National Memorial and the Memorial Chapel. At the chapel you may visit the Flight 93 Crew Monument donated by United Airlines Flight Attendants Cause Foundation on Sept. 11, 2006. Each tour participant receives a pin or magnet commemorating the Heroes of Flight 93.
